It bears a stunning resemblance to a small Japanese sports car from 1992 now. I’m having my friend help me convert the Civic to RWD :)

*ahem* So, yeah. Traded the Honda for a 1992 Mazda MX-5 with 154,000 miles on the clock and all-original to a PAINSTAKING degree other than the painted wheels and the front lip. Going to paint the wheels a gunmetal grey or try to strip them back to the original finish (not likely, previous-previous owner says they have been sprayed four different colors), probably going to keep the lip. Would like to get a black hardtop and/or a burgandy/red soft top since the top on there has a faded/torn rear window and a couple small holes in it, which are the only real defects on the car other than non-functional cruise control and super out-of-balance wheels. Came with the original antenna as well as the shorty Mazdaspeed one, and has the vinyl cover for when the top is down, as well as the original spare tire.

Oh son of a bitch I just realized there’s a Salon in the background of the last picture. I’m preparing for jokes.

I hate black wheels on a level you can’t understand. Black-on-black is what I absolutely can’t tolerate, but painting OEM wheels black is just disgusting. So if not gunmetal gray then perhaps white, but I dunno how that’ll work on a bright-colored car.

A coworker of mine has some BBSes with brand new rubber he’d sell me for $500. I’m worried that will set me on the path to rice. If the tires on my stock wheels are shot like I think they are (couple busted belts methinks) I’ll get the BBSes and daily drive them and get some Blizzaks to put on the stock wheels for winter.
